Today we are making mittens out of recycled materials and writing things that can help the earth. We are doing this because all the newspaper, magazines, plastic and paper bags would have been wasted and thrown away if we didn’t do this, it would eventually end up in some landfill and take up space some where in the world. On the other hand t is fun, but mostly the landfill. So anyway that is why we are making mittens out of recycled materials.
Today in earth care club we made bags out of recycled newspaper and magazines. We followed several easy to follow steps on you tube. When we finished they all looked great. We intend to use them to put holiday gifts in and several people turned them into chef hats and fezzes! Afterward we added ribbon to make the finishing touches. All in all it was a very fun and interesting lesson!
